Following our caring approach that has helped thousands of people over the last 20 years, our Richmond office offers skilled professional counselors, therapists, and a psychiatric nurse practitioner to assist the residents in Richmond, KY and the surrounding areas. Managed by Carrie Koontz, LCSW, our Richmond office provides clinical counseling, psychiatric evaluation and medical management services, in addition to a wide variety of other assessments for Richmond, KY.
Office Location: Our Richmond office is located at 1043 Center Dr. From the Robert R. Martin Bypass, you will turn onto Berea Road. From there You will make a left turn onto Center Drive at the light across from Kroger. Once on Center Drive you pass the Dollar General on your right and several other office buildings. You will see the sign for Lexington Counseling and Psychiatry Offices of Paul Dalton in front of the building on your left. It is a stand alone building with parking available at the front and side of the building.
Once you arrive: Please come in and make yourself comfortable in our waiting area. Your therapist will come out to greet you at the time of your appointment. If you have waited more than 15 minutes, please call our office at 859-314-1281 and our admin staff will assist you.
How do I complete the paperwork? : When you sign up as a new client with our administrative staff, an email will be sent to you asking you to set up a portal. The new client paperwork forms will be assigned to you in your portal. Please complete each form and complete to the best of your knowledge and your clinician will go over everything during the first session with you. There are paper copies of the intake paperwork in each lobby.
What to expect first session: The first session will be utilized to build rapport with one another, review paperwork, establish therapeutic treatment goals, identify areas of concern, and provide referrals and resources as needed. Sessions typically last 53 minutes to an hour and your clinician will assist in scheduling follow up appointments.
What about payment: At each session you attend your therapist will let you know what your amount is, whether it is a copay or deductible amount. Payment is due at the time of each service.
